One of the twelve Jyotirlingas, the holiest residences of Shiva, is the Vaidyanatha Jyotirlinga temple, also known as Baba Baidyanath dham and Baidyanath dham . It is situated in Deoghar, in the Indian state of Jharkhand's Santhal Parganas region. The Jyotirlinga is located in the Baba Baidyanath main temple, which is part of a complex of 21 temples.

Distance of baidyanath temple from railway station:

The closest railroad station to Baidyanath Temple is Kumrabad Rohini. The distance to the temple is around 8 kilometres, and a taxi may take you there. There are several more train stations from which one may go by cab to the temple, including Jasidih (8 km), Mohanpur (14 km), Madhupur junction (33 km), and Jhajha (70 km). However, these stations are a bit further distant than the temple itself. Therefore, try to choose the closest railway station as your final destination if you intend to go by train to the Baidyanath Temple.


Best time to visit:

The best time to visit Baba Baidyanath Temple is during the winter, from October to March. If you prefer less crowding, this is the best time for you as the Shravan Mela concludes at this time and the most of the devotees go. However, if you want to get the most out of the spectacular Shravan Mela, schedule your trip during July through August.
